Wet floor heating (UFH) uses a network of plastic pipes to heat the concrete or screed and therefore your living area. Unlike radiators that take up space and can be unsightly, the piping is hidden under the floor for an efficient and discreet heating system.
The pipe material must have a high resistance to pressure and temperature, be corrosion resistant and easy to use as well as being a good conductor of heat. The pipe should also be flexible so it can be curved or bent without damaging the internal coating and leaking.
In addition, the PEX tubing used in floor heating must have an oxygen barrier to prevent the oxygen from oxidizing the inside of the pipe and cause premature damage to the system. The BOW PEX tubing available on this site is specifically designed for hydronic radiant floor heating systems, has an oxygen barrier liner and complies with DIN 4726.
A high quality floor heating system needs a high-quality PEX pipe with an adequate diameter. When the tubing is too small, it cannot provide sufficient heating capacity, and if it is too large it will increase installation costs by having to use more pipe fittings.
Danfoss offers a range of floor heating panel products for the complete installation of wet floors. The panels are pre-formed to simplify the layout of the piping and help ensure that all the components fit together correctly and comply with relevant building regulations. They can be fixed to the concrete using clips or rails depending on the system type.floor heating pipe
